Parliamentarians visit FONSIS: a strategic exchange on the challenges of economic sovereignty

On 11 April 2025, FONSIS received a delegation from the National Assembly's Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senegalese Abroad and African Integration, led by its chairwoman, Mrs Fatou Diop Cissé. Welcomed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Cheikh Sidiya El Moctar Béye, and the Managing Director, Babacar Gning, the parliamentarians discussed the missions of FONSIS, its investment priorities, and how to involve the diaspora in the country's development projects. The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen the dialogue between the representatives of the Nation and the Sovereign Wealth Fund, with a view to coordinating the challenges of economic transformation and national sovereignty.
