Women and the ITO (Information Technology Outsourcing) sector

On Tuesday, 6 May, the We! Fund participated in the panel discussion:
‘Women and the ITO (Information Technology Outsourcing) sector: challenges, roles and strategies for sustainable inclusion’, organised by NTF V (Netherlands Trust Fund), CBI and Livelearn, on the sidelines of the Talent Cloud Conference 2025.

Alongside key players such as ESP, Sonatel, ASES and ADEPME, Fama DIOP NDIAYE, Investment Director at We! Fund, emphasised the importance of including women in tech and explained how the fund supports women entrepreneurs to accelerate their growth and strengthen their leadership in a rapidly expanding sector in Senegal.

The discussions provided an opportunity to:
- debate the challenges associated with the under-representation of women in digital technology;
- address the systemic obstacles holding back their progress;
- propose inclusive, sustainable solutions tailored to the local context.
