FONSIS shares its perspective on sovereign capital mobilization

FONSIS participated in the 27th edition of the Africa Energy Forum, held from 17 to 20 June in Cape Town, alongside institutional and private actors from the energy sector.

Mr. Ahmadou Kane, Legal, Risk and Compliance Director, spoke at the panel discussion on ‘Mobilising sovereign wealth funds and pension funds to share FONSIS' approach to investing in energy infrastructure:

- Deployment of patient capital

- Projects structured within a stable regulatory framework

- Strengthened governance through a direct investment model

- Integrated expertise (legal, financial, technical)

- Solid partnerships with development institutions and regional players

This panel provided an opportunity to open a dialogue on the levers of impact and the structural constraints that condition the commitment of institutional investors over the long term.
