On April 8, 2025, FONSIS and the Ministry of Industry and Trade signed an agreement as part of the development of the Agropole Sud. This initiative aims to strengthen agro-industrial processing capacities in the Ziguinchor, Kolda and S\u00e9dhiou regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agropole Sud aims to structure value chains around promising agricultural sectors such as cashew nuts, mangoes, corn, bananas and non-timber forest products. The project contributes to several strategic objectives: boosting regional economies, contributing to food security, reducing the trade deficit and promoting employment, particularly for young people and women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This agreement marks a significant operational step forward, with the coordinated mobilization of public and private stakeholders to bring about the emergence of a sustainable industrial cluster in the south of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le FONSIS et le Minist\u00e8re de l’Industrie et du Commerce ont sign\u00e9, le 8 avril 2025, une convention dans le cadre du d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019Agropole Sud. Cette initiative vise \u00e0 renforcer les capacit\u00e9s de transformation agro-industrielle dans les r\u00e9gions de Ziguinchor, Kolda et S\u00e9dhiou. L\u2019Agropole Sud ambitionne de structurer des cha\u00eenes de valeur autour de fili\u00e8res agricoles porteuses telles que l\u2019anacarde, la mangue, le ma\u00efs, la banane et les produits forestiers non ligneux. Le projet participe \u00e0 plusieurs objectifs strat\u00e9giques : dynamiser les \u00e9conomies r\u00e9gionales, contribuer \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire, r\u00e9duire le d\u00e9ficit commercial et favoriser l\u2019emploi, en particulier pour les jeunes et les femmes.
