From November 11 to 17, 2024, the 𝗙𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗦 took part in the 29ᵉ Conference of the Parties on Climate (@COP29_AZ), organisée par l’ONU, à Bakou (Azerbaïdjan). Le Directeur Général du 𝗙𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗦 a participé au panel sur l’impact des fonds souverains dans la mobilisation de financements pour les Objectifs de Développement Durable (#ODD). Alongside leaders from development finance institutions, impact funds and sovereign wealth funds, he presented the strategic role of 𝗙𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗦 in sustainable development initiatives in Senegal. As a member of The International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds ( IFSWF), 𝗙𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗦 also took part in a roundtable organized by the Sovereign Fund of Azerbaijan (@SOFAZOfficial), focusing on financing the energy transition.

At panels held in the Senegal pavilion, the 𝗙𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗦 highlighted its climate finance initiatives in Senegal, including investments in solar power plants, BRT, the PSP pilot project and the upcoming launch of a dedicated renewable energy financing vehicle.
